EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE
Another enjoyable euchre party was held under the auspices of Si. Mary’s Church in the Town Hall supper-room on Tuesday evening. Opportunity was taken to farewell Mrs Dudson, senr., who is leaving for Palmerston N., shortly. Father McDermott- presented the guest of the evening, on behalf of her many friends, with a gold brooch. He mentioned her sterling qualities and spoke of the good work she had done in everything connected with (lie church. . Mr Sid. Dudson responded on behalf of his mother. The prizes for the euchre were won by Miss Freeman and Mr Desmond. Mrs Dudson and Mr Fuller were judged the (i hoobies.” After I he usual enjoyable supper, dancing was indulged in. the music being supplied by Misses Delanv, Fahv Me Carler. During the course of lho evening songs were rendered by Mr Colder and a trio by Messrs Petlee, Walls and Carter.
