ROYAL PICTURES.

“My Wild Irish Rose,” a picture the very title of which will appeal to all sons of the “Emerald Isle,” is to be screened at the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. The story is adapted from the famous stage play “The Shaugran,” which had such a success in London. The picture is a romance of Shamrock Isle, and breathes the very atmosphere of (lie old sod, and there is the touch of brogue in every title that makes one live in the very atmosphere of Old Erin. Mack Sennett comedy: “Ma and Pa.” Helene Chadwick and Richard Dix have a lesson for young married couples and those who are thinking of taking the matrimonial step in “Dangerous Curves „Ahead” starring on Saturday night. The picture deals with the lives of a young couple who discover that married life is a serious business and to he believed in seriously. Comedy: Mack Sennett in “Be Reasonable.” “JAZZ MANIA” TO-NIGHT. “Jazz Mania” is the title of the latest Mae Murray film in nine reels which will be screened at the Town Hall to-night. The star is seen' as the Queen of a Balkan Kingdom which is beset by enemies. A revolution Js impending and she floes to America. Her love of novelty makes her an ardent lover of jazz; and when a former subject advises her to return tu her country to rescue the women and children who are being mistreated she decides to go hack. She rescues the kingdom, and she turns it into a republic where jazz keeps Madame President and her subjects in good humour. The picture is staged in Paris, Monte Carlo and New York and is notable for its gorgeous settings, its wonderful dances, Mae Murray's many gowns and the big scenes such as the airplane smash at Monte Carlo. Prices 1/,- and 1/6, children half-price. On Saturday next. Dustin Famum and Bessie Love will be offered in the tense drama “Three who Paid,” whilst a special two-reel Clyde Cook comedy “Don’t Tickle,” will also be included on the bill. Prices for this selected programme will he as usual, 9d\ and 1/6; children 3d and 6d.
