A HANDSOME GIFT.
HOME FOR CHILDREN. Masterton, December 4. Mr A. P. Whatman, of Masterton, who has made many handsome gifts for returned soldiers, and other public purposes, is having the plans [irepared of a. large institution containing about 40 rooms, to be erected in the vicinity of his home at Upper Plain. When completed Mr Whatman proposes to hand over the institution to the Salvation Army, to be used as a children’s home.
