MODEL OF “ROARING MEG.”

PRESENTED TO AIR MASSEY. London, December 4. The town clerk of Londonderry presented Mr Massey in London with a',silver model of the famous cannon' “Roaring Meg” used in the siege of Londonderry. The model is mounted on a stand made of oak from Londonderry’s thousand-year-old town hall. The presentation commemorates Air Alassey’s election to the Freedom of Londonderry in 1916.' Lord French of Ypres and the Duke of Abercom are the holders of two other similar models, which are the only ones made.
