OUR PENNY STAMP.
A POOR. ADVERTISEMENT. Christchurch, Last Night, That the design of the new penny universal postage stamp, showing the map of New Zealand, is .harmful to the Dominion, was the subject of a. letter sent to the Chamber of Commerce by the manager of a big local exporting firm. It was resolved at to-night’s meeting, that the Council write to the Government urging that the stamp should be immediately withdrawn from circulation, as it constituted, it was stated, a very poor advertisement, both to the Government and to the Dominion.
