PALMERSTON N. CHILD’S DEATH.
Palmerston North, Dec. 3, A serious accident with a fatal ending occurred on Saturday afternoon when Leslie Bruce Ellis, ten months, was severely burned about the face, arms and neck as a result of his clotbing catching fire. It appears that the child upset the benzine used for a benzine iron which the m°tber was using at the time, the liquid wetting the child’s clothing. The mother picked up the child and it is presumed that the heat of the iron ignited the fumes of the benzine. The child passed away last uight. .... , ... «...
