MOUTOA BEATS WERAROA. BY MARGIN OF EIGHT WICKETS Werarca journeyed to Moutoa on Saturday where they were defeated by eight wickets. Weraroa batted first and made 52. In their second innings they declared when they had 2 down for 46. O’Connor (30 not out) was their most effective bat, and his enterprising innings three 4’s and a six. This was the top score of the match. Hughes (19) and Hall were the other double figure men. O’Connor was their chief destroying agency taking 5 for 17 and 2 for 14. Moutoa in their first innings made 67, Mason (15) and Morgan (19) heading the hoard. They had no difficulty in getting the necessary runs in the.r second innings and were 34 for 2, Madsen (6) and Mason (16) not out, when stumps were drawn.
