W.C.T.U.
The annual meeting of the W.C. T.U. was held in the Anglican Sunday school on Thursday last. The following officers were re-elec-ted: —President: Mrs Banks; vicepresidents : Mesdames McDonald, - Huston, Clirysf all and Miss Duncan;— treasurer: Mrs Downes; cradle roll superintendent: Miss O. Piper; white ribbon agent: Mrs Thornber; auditor: Mrs J. Ross; secretary: Mrs Cnnninghame. The following departments have been taken up: The white ribbon, cradle roll, and Band of Hope, the latter most enthusiastically. Owing to the Anglican Bazaar being held this week, it was decided to postpone the Band of Hope till December 7th. It was decided to hold the meetings for next quarter in the Methodist Hall. No more meetings are to he held until February 21st. A credit balance of £3 0/6 and 42 members was reported. The mooting closed with a vote of thanks to the office-bearers of the Anglican Church for the use of the Sundav School.
