THREE WOMEN BEFORE COURT. Blenheim, November 21. Paulimina Carolina Campbell, and her two daughters, Mary Ann, aged 21, and -Irene Frances May, aged 19, were brought before the. Supreme Court for sentence on two charges of sheep stealing at Pelorus Sound. His Honour, in sentencing the mother to 18 months’ reformative detention, said he eonld not overlook the fact that the mother was responsible for teaching the girls to thieve and this had been going on for years.-Both the girls were admitted to three years’ probation, a special condition being that each enter the service of a gentleman who offered to make himself responsible for their good conduct.
