MOUTOA HALL
At the request of the Moutoa Han Committee, Air H. ’ E. Bennett, of Palmerston N., inspected the hall now nearly completed and gave some much-appreciated advice as to staging and the acoustic properties of th(> building, which the committee decided to give effect to. Air Bennett informed our representative that the hall for concert, purposes, when the suggestions are given ef-. feet to, will render it one of the best. The committee desire, to express its appreciation of Air Bennett’s advice and inspection. Arrangements are being made, for the official opening of the building at an early date. The approximate cost of ’ the building is £(175 and it. was erected by day labour, under the supervision of Mr' H. Alexander, of Moutoa, which effected a saving of £IOO on lowest tender. The outside measurements are 30ft. x 71ft., including two dressing rooms and stage, 12ft. x 30ft. The opening is to take place on December 7th. in the form of a social ,and dance.
