HEALING MISSION
REMARKABLE REPORTS FROM WELLINGTON. Wellington, November 7. Move cures are reported in‘’connection with the Hickson Christian Mission. The elevgv, however, are strongly adverse to making statements regarding cures that cannot ill once be verified. Voluntary declarations have been made, and cases are to be enquired into by the clergy. An old lady, who had been par’ll lysed for years, is reported to be able tn walk, and I here are several re-ported eases of restored sight and hearing. A remarkable ease is one of an elderly woman, who was deaf and can, it is declared, now hear well. The Rev.' Fancourt was well acquainted with her. Two eases are reported of recovery from infantile paralysis, and that of woman who had lost the use of a hand. A seemingly miraculous ease is that of a young man from Island Bay. This, patient suffered from valvular disease of the heart from birth and had developed curvature of the spine. 1.1 was thought he would not survive (he journey to the mission, but lie came away showing wonderful improvement, and is now able to walk. His mother trusts a cure has been effected.
