CONCERT.

Miss Williams is to be congratulated upon the excellence of last night’s concert, held in the Masonic Hall, in aid of All Saints’ Fair Fund. There was a good and most appreciative audience and had cellence of the bill of fare been given fuller publicity, the hall would not have provided sufficient accomodation for patrons. The children’s items not only reflected credit upon the little ones but upon Miss Williams’ careful training. Some splendid talent was in evidence. It seems a pity that more is not made of the juvenile talent in the town. At one time annual school concerts were a. much appreciated form of entertainment, but of late they have been abandoned. This is a pity as with such enthusiasts on our school staff we feel sure that at least one coneeTt. a year could be organised without interference with school work and which would make a pleasant break for the children and tend to develop latent- talent. During the interval the Rev. W. H. Walton, who presided, paid a tribute to the organiser and her assistant, Miss Fahey, and thanked the performers. At the conclusion the performers were entertained at. supper by members of All Saints’ Ladies Guild. All the items were much appreciated and in some cases double encores were demanded. Miss Fahey played the accompaniments. The programme was as follows. — Duet, “Osborne Quadrilles,” Misses Caroline and Kitty Coley: recitation, “Welcome Girls.” Mr Rex Ball; glee, “Merry Bells,” children’s chorus; recitation, “Mr Nobody,” Miss Jessie Crow; action song, “Jack and Jill,” song, “Up in My Toy Balloon,” Miss Molly Downes; soiig, “Autumn Winds,” song, selected. Mr Head; recitation, “When Mr Roberts Called To-day,” Miss Ina Easton; song, “Merry Brown Thrush,” children; song, “A Bowl of Roses,” Miss Elsie King; song, “Mother’s Little Maiden,” children. Song, “The Gipsy Chorus,” children; song, selected, Miss Griffin; duet “Sleigh Bells,” Misses Nancy Robinson and Margaret Poole; song, “Dip Boys, Dip the Oar,” children; recitation, “Grand Mama,” Miss Kitty Coley; pianoforte selection, “The Sheperdess Thinking of Home” Rex Ball; song, “Buttercups,” children; recitation, “Gunga Din,” Mr Davidson, encore: “A Confession”; song, “Harry Lauder,” Master Hugh Scott; recitation, “The Wife who Sat up,” Miss Marjorie Hunt; song, “Now Sparkling and Bright,” Boys; sixtette, “Golden Slumbers,” Misses M.
