FLAXMILL EMPLOYEES.

UALF-YEARLY MEETING. .The half-yearly meeting of the Mannwalu Flaxmill Employees’ Association was held at Shannon on Saturday, when Mr T. Logan presided over a fair attendance of members. It was decided to remove the registered office of the Union from Palmerston North to Shannon. It was reported that, in consequence of altered conditions brought about by the side-leaf method of cutting a conference was shortly to be held between the Flaxmillers’ Association and the Union with a view to securing an equitable re-arrangement of conditions. This matter was being left in the bands of the Association to fix a date. The following officers were elected: President: Mr S. Briggs; vicepresident, Mr W. Donovan; treasurer, Mr T. Logan; secretary, Mr P. T. Robinson.
