THE SHANNON ROAD.

THE road between Shannon township and the bridge, on the Shan-non-Foxton road, is in a .shocking condition and (-alls for immediate attention. Many motorists prefer to go miles out of their way rather than take, the risks of damage to their cars. Some time ago, the Shannon Borough Council offered to keep the road in repair under certain conditions, which the controlling body, the Ilorowhenua Comity, did not entertain. An indignation meeting should be convened to galvanise the Council or the member for the riding into action.
