DICK WHITTINGTON PANTOMIME.
Mr Tano Fama, so well-known in connection with the “Diggers,”'has launched out into a wider field in the matter of public entertainments. His panto, company staged “Dick Whittington” to a large and appreciative, and, may w 6 add, a very patient audience, in the Town Hall on Tuesday night.. Patient, because the whole show only arrived by the 6.15 p.m. train, owing to there being no mid-day train v on Tuesday, and as a result, the audience had to - wait, until a little after 8.30 before the orchestra struck up. The delay was soon forgotten in the delight, of the sparkling scenes, and ■versatile entertainment which followed. The dresses were artistic and spectacular, while the witticisms, dancing and singing were very meritorious. The panto., as a whole, was right up to reputa-/ tion hi every respect.
