ANGLICAN COMMUNITY FAIR.
Considerable interest is being taken in the above carnival due to take place at the end of this months in the Town Hall. Although nearly a month away, the carnival is being organised on a somewhat broader scale than the usual Church bazaar. Special arrangements arebeing made in every direction to ensure that the'slogaii “value for mon-‘ ey” is carried out in its entirety. Valuable.prizes are being offered for competitions, the principal one, so far as the sporting element is concerned, being the tug-of-war tournament, for which a prize of £3 is being offered to the winning team. Provision is being made for any cash prizes to be taken in kind. From time to time our representative will obtain progress reports of the various arrangements as they are completed, and they will be announced exclusively through the columns of this paper. We understand that several entries for the Utility competition have been completed and are awaiting- the opening of the carnival.
