UNFIT TO BE AT LARGE.
Auckland, October 17. In the Supreme Court yesterday, Air Justice Stringer sentenced William Blake Knox, a middle-aged man to ten years’ imprisonment for four indecent assaults on males. He said that the prisoner was not tit to he at large, and but for the stale of his health he would have ordered a flogging. If the Legislature had entrusted the Court with power, as he thought it should, he would have subjected the prisoner to a surgical operation which would have rendered him comparatively harmless.
