HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The Committee, at its last meeting, decided to have a cake, sweets and ice-cream stall, instead of tearooms, at'llie forthcoming show. Tiie public are invited to help by* giving to the stall. Mrs Baker was elected to fill the vucancy on the committee. The schedule for the Summer Show was revised, and a number of alterations made. Some classes in which there were few or no entries iu tlie past were deleted, and several new ones introduced. The cookery section has some very good prizes. A All), box of tea has been donated as a special prize for one class. All the decorative classes have special prizes besides the points prize. Several trophies have been donated for points prizes. There are three garden classes. One for those who have not won a garden prize before, one for vegetable garden, and one open class — not barring previous winners. As tiie schedules are to be printed almost immediately, the secretary wishes all those intending to give special prizes to hand in their names. Donations or communications can he left with Mr Christie.
