WANGANUI HARBOUR.
PROPOSAL TO BORROW £200,000 CARRIED BY LARGE MAJORITY. Wanganui, Last. Night. A poll was taken to-day on a proposal to raise a loan of £200,000 foj the further development of a fleep see harbour. Overseas steamers can, if desired, berth at._Cn.st.loeliff at the present time, hut the Harbour Board intends to complete the ttiming basin and still fuithei deepen the entrance. The poll was carried by 854 votes to 57.
