MR E. P. LEE HONOURED.
Oamnru, Last Night. AL E. P. Lee, late member for Oamnru, and Alinister of the Crown, was met by a large and enthusiastic gathering to-day and presented with an illuminated address and purse. Mrs Lee was also presented with a gold ring set with diamonds and emeralds. The Hon. AY. Nosworthy represented the Alinistry and referred to the great services rendered by Air Lee and to the keen regret felt: at his defeat. The Alinister said he looked forward to another fight at an early date, when he hoped to see the Government receive a sufficient majority to carry on the affairs of the country. Alessrs Burnett and Kitchener, Af.’sP., eulogised Afr Lee and apologies for absence were received from the acting Prime Minister and other Alinisteis.
