FATAL INJURIES TO EX-FOX-TON RESIDENT.
FALL FROM A BEAM. Fatal injuries wore received by a middle aged laboured named John Bore, lale of Fox I on,, a married man, 52 years of age, who fell from a beam, on which he was working at the new theatre, under course of construction in Courtenay Place, Wellington. It seems that he was '•landing on tile beam and assisting to lift a section of the crane. When ii was being raised, the crane struck the beam, with the result that the deceased lost bis balance and fell to the ground. He was admitted to the hospital about 4 o’clock, but the injuries to his body and spine proved so'serious, that, in spite of all that could be done, he died about 1(1.30 o’clock that evening. If i.s staled dial I lie deceased, strangely enough, about twenty years ago, helped in the erect on of' the old building which lias been demolished to give place to the theatre. Gore resided at the King’s Private Hotel. An inquest will be held. Mrs Gore proceeded to Wellington this morning.
