ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FATAL INJURIES ON TIMARU WHARF. Timnrn, Last Night, if. T. Butler, aged (it) years, died this morning as a result of injuries received through falling from a truck on the wharf, Thames, Last Night. Samuel Vernon Dent, a single young 1 man, is supposed to have been drowned off a launch which belonged to Mr Avery of Kerepchi. The launch left Thames at 11 o’clock last night ami on arrival jit Pipiroa, Dent was missing, II is supposed be fell ov-er-board and the police are dragging the river. Dent came from Whalign rei a few years ago, and had been employed at Ilamaki Plains. BODY IN AUCKLAND HARBOUR. Auckland, Last Night. The* body of Daniel llagerty, a retired farmer, aged f!2 years, was found (loafing in the harbour. Deceased was a native of Ireland, and unmarried, and had no relatives in New Zealand. lie possessed considerable properly and had arranged a trip to Europe hut had cancelled this owing to ill-health.
