BRAN AND POLLARD.
SUSPENSION OP DUTY TO REMAIN TILL OCTOBER 31. > ; Wellington, Last Nignt. The Minister of Agriculture announces that Cabinet has decided to continue the suspension of the duty on Wan and pollard until October 31, 1923. This has been done by reason of the continued shortage of bran, which is still being brought in from Australia to supplement local supplies. Permits to import either- bran or pollard must, however, be held before shipments can be allowed to land. Importers should secure through the Department of Industries and Commerce, Wpliington, the necessary permit before making shipping arrangements. 'There is now no indication of a shortage of pollard, and no further permits for importation of the commodity can be granted.
