THE PRINCE IN CANADA.
SOME AMUSTNG STORIES.
Ottawa, 21st September. The Canadian newspapers arc tilted with amusing stories of the Prince of Wales, who, incognito as Lord Renfew, is helping in Hie harvest of sunflowers and wheat on his ranch at Alberta. Two days of this hand-blistering work was enough for the visitor, who has taken to the hills hunting deer and fishing for trout. In Ihe meantime the chief colonisation official of' Calgary sent the following wire to ihe Government: “Understand that British harvester, travelling under name Renfrew is to-day employed on farm in Alberta. Suggest we obtain winter employment for him to retain him in Canada permanently.” When the Prince passed the inspection of the immigration officials lie filled the card with the following: “What is your present occupation?” Answer: “Nothing.” “Future Occupation?”— “Nothing.” “Purpose of your coming to Canada?” —“To enjoy myself.” “Amount of cash?” —“Enough for my present needs.” “Can you read?” —“Yes.” “What language?”—“Five of them.”
