FOXTON SILVER BAND.

Members of the above Band are making arrangements to organise a big effort to raise funds to pay for their instruments and to provide uniforms for bandsmen.

Mr Colder informs ns that assistance has been promised from Shannon and other districts. In connection with the effort Mr Colder is endeavouring to arrange a quickstep competition by champion bands provided arrangements can be made to guarantee prize money.

A strong executive committee lias been appointed to arrange details and full particulars will be published later.
