The New Routii Wales team concluded its New Zealand tour at Mas(erton yesterday with a match against a Wairarnpa and Bush combined team, in the presence of 2,000 people, including Viscount Jellieoe and suite. The weather was fine, but a southerly blew across the field making Ihe fielding of the ball difficult. The game ended in favour of Wairarnpa by It points to 8. At Hamilton yesterday Waikato defeated Wellington by .13 points to 11.
At Invercargill, Southland defeated Roulli Canterbury by 27 to 3. An unfortunate position has arisen in connection with the Monscar Cup held by New Plymouth High School, 'flic final challenge was from the Maori Agricultural College, hut the New Zealand Rugby Union ruled that the College is not eligible. The Union now telegraphs that Ihe management committee, after consultation with the Director of Education, has reversed its decision and the match is to he arranged, 'fhe High School, however, relaxed their training and were preparing for summer games, and in view ol ll.is, and the near approach of the. examinations, the school has no option but to forfeit to Maori College.
