MORE EARTHQUAKES.
IN ABORT THREE WEEKS' TIME. According to Mr K. R. field, in a letter to the Press, New Zealand is uue for one or two more earthquakes, a long spell of dry weather, and then a respite of about four years from ’quakes. “1 am under the impression that New Zealand will experience a fairly heavy shake before the season ends, and I should judge that it "ill be one most felt in Canterbury, and oil October (ilh, or one fell most about Tanpo on October 81 It. Two such shakes are very likely to occur, and lo lie severe enough to be felt at Wellington also. Any such shakes should be about the last of the season for us.
