ALLEGED THEFTS BY FARMER.

Te Awamutu, Last Night. Before the Justices to-day, Arthur William Coulter and William Alfred Coulter, farmers, at Obaupo, were charged with the theft from farms in the neighbourhood of various materials valued at £fßo. There were twelve charges, involving a big senes of thefts, including a spring dray, saddles, harness; plough and other implements. Thefts were reported to the police throughout August and until a fortnight ago, when the accused were arrested. The hearing lasted the whole day. The accused pleaded not guilty, reserved their defence and were committed for trial, bail being allowed.
