THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day. The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but south-east-erly winds, strong to gale prevailing, and veering by south to west. Tho weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled and heavy rain is lo be expected with rivers rising shortly. Barometer unsteady with a rising tendency. Seas considerable, tides good.
