THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 15th inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila market, firmer, ‘J’ grade, October-December shipments, sold up to £3l 10/-; now quoted sellers at 2/6 more. ‘G’ grade sold at £35 10/-. Little more inquiry for New Zealand on basis of £29 10/- for fair grade. No transactions reported.”
