‘•MIDNIGHT GUEST” AT THE ROYAL. A picture that tells an important 1 truth qs well as entertains comes to the Royal Theatre on Wednesday night. It is “The Midnight Guest.” This picture is an all-star Universal production based on the original story written by Rupert Julian and which has been transcribed to the screen by George Archainbaud. It is a story of humanity. There are three principal characters who are three distinct types of human beings commonly known. Beautiful Grace Darmond takes the leading role. Mack Sennett’s current comedymelodrama “The Crossroads of New York,” makes a culmination of the producers long ambition to present a dramatic story of the struggles of the country boy in a big city. To be shown Friday night. “THE WORLD’S APPLAUSE.” Startled blase Broadway with her daring, risking love and honour for a hollow frame —that’s Bebe Daniels as the heroine of “The World’s Applause,” a sensational love drama heading the bill at the Town Hall tomorrow evening. Miss Daniels plays the role of an actress whose liigli place on the stage is due to her"'notorious behaviour in search of publicity. Lewis Store is seen as John Elliot a producer, who becomes enmeshed in emotional situations when his sister (lvathlyn ' Williams) allows jealousy of her artist husband to drag them all into the quagmire of scandal. “The World’s Applause” is dramatic and thrilling and will be supported by a Charles Murray comedy, “A Social Error.” Usual Cabaret prices. Chariot races and great battle scenes are part of the great love spectacle “Queen of Sheba,” at the Town Hall on Saturday next.
