ALMOST DECAPITATED.

Christchurch, September 14 Albert llorniman, a salesman, aged 42 years, was found alongside the railway line, a mile from Kaiapoi station, at 10 o’clock last night, almost decapitated. It is assumed that the 8 o’clock goods train from Kaiapoi to Christchurch ran him down. Horniman had been whitebaiting near his camp in Stewart’s Gully.
