PLUNKET SOCIETY.
Tim monthly meeting of the above was held yesterday. Present: Mesdames F. Robinson (acting-pre-sident) Pearson, Chrystall, Christie, A. Ross, Trueman, Walton, Wylie, Ilynes and Me Murray. An apology for absence was received f om Mrs Owen. The nurse’s report showed five visits to Foxton for the month, adu’t visits to office 30, babies to office 40, visits to homes 10, new cases 2, letters posted 3, emulsion given away 21bs, books sold 3/-. Agreed to accept Mrs Pearson’s generous offer of profit made on the wind-up dance of the “Weekly Dance Assembly.” Members of the Plunket Committee to arrange sale of tickets. The secretary was instructed to •convey to Mr and Mrs S. Austin the committee’s pleasure in the news received regarding the safety of Mr Austin’s mother and sister, Mrs and Miss Austin. Mrs Wyllie was appointed flower steward for the month. Collection box, 1/6.
