ENTERTAINMENTS.

MIXED FACES

The mad dash of an automobile, with a beautiful girl at the wheel, down a rocky cliff is just one of the thrills in William Russell’g play “Mixed Faces,” which holds pride of place in to-night’s Fox programme- at the Town Hall. Russell plays a dual role —that of a live wire salesman who partially burns a building to demonstrate his fire extinguisher, and a self-satisfied candidate for Mayof of a small town. How the quick-thinking salesman breaks the self-satisfied candidate’s ambitions and also wins his sweetheart provides a story in which Russell : s very much at home. Chief support will be lent “Mixed Faces” by “The Reporter,” a, star two-reel Comedyfeaturing Lupino Lane who is destined to make a big name in Fox comedies. Prices as usual, 9d and 1/6, children 3d and 6d. ROYAL PICTURES. “Love’s Redemption,” the First National attraction which makes Norma Talmadge’s latest screen offering will be seen at the Royal Theatre to-night. The picture deals with the character of Ginger, a quaint little girl wlni has been left an orphan in Jamaica. Tier mother was a Spanish opera singer and her father an English soldier and the mingling of these two blends is admirably brought out in the star’s excellent delineation of the character. Also Larry Semon comedy: “A Pair of Kings.” Special advance copy of “The Marriage of the Duke of York.” Extra: “Perils of the Yukon.” On Monday night a gorgeous vision of ravishing gowns and lavish settings will be seen by those who witness “When Husbands Deceive.” This picture is based on life and any woman in the same situation would do exactly as Leah Baird does. Come along and see this fine production. Prices only fid and 1/children half price.
