IMMIGRATION.
DELEGATION TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND. Wellington, September 7. A party comprising the following members of the Imperial Overseas Immigration Committee is due to arrive in Auckland by the Niagara on Monday: Sir William Windham, Mr J. Wignall, M.P., Major-General ***■ Wauchope, and Miss G. Pott. The delegation is coming to New Zealand at the invitation of the Government, and will tour the Dominion for the purpose of seeing what field the country offers for Imperial immigrants, and what class can be most readily absorbed. Mr H. D. Thompson, Under-Secretary for the New Zealand Immigration Department, and Mr J. Hislop, Undersecretary for Internal Affairs, are leaving Wellington to-day for the purpose of meeting the visiting delegates, who are coming straight to Wellington arriving Tuesday afternoon next. Here the delegates will meet Lord dellicoe and members of the Government before undertaking their tour.
