PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual congregational meeting of the Foxton charge of the Presbyterian Church was held in the local church last evening, and was presided over by the Rev. Frank McDonald, pastor. The session report dealt fully with spiritual matters throughout the charge, and showed a growing improvement. Services had been started at Rongoten, and much interest evinced. In this connection acknowledgment was made for the use of the Anglican Church. It was hoped to obtain a building for permanent use at an early date. The work of the Sabbath schools, and oilier organisations were touched upon. Foxton congregations showed a marked improvement. The balance-sheet disclosed a debit of about £l2O on account of extraordinary and non-recurring expenses and outstanding liabilities incurred in previous years. It was decided to make an effort throughout the charge to have these debts liquidated. Votes of thanks were accorded to all office bearers, and others who had been connected with the work of the church. Special appreciative references were made to the work of the pastor and Mrs MacDonald, and recorded on the records. The following local committee was appointed: Messrs James Ross, Parkes, Clark, Simmons, Downes, Davidson and elders ex-officio. At the conclusion of the meeting the congregation were entertained at supper py the ladies of the congregation.
