YOUNG MAN POSES AS DOCTOR,
Auckland, Last Night
A remarkable case, in which a young man is alleged to have posed as a doctor at. Te Kamvhata, has been revealed as the result of the arrest of Frederick McLennan on charges of breaking the terms of probation for false pretences. It is stated that McLennan treated numerous influenza cases (and if is said successfully) with brandy and quinine. Fortunately he did not venture into the realms of more complicated medical healing, although he is said' to have set a broken limb successfully. MeLennan’s arrest came as the result of an inquest into a shooting fatality, at. which he appeared in a medical capacity. Subsequent inquiries led to police action, and accused will appear in Court to-morrow.
