NATIONAL BANK v. JOHN GOLDER.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In the Magistrate’s ed decision in the above case, you report him as saying . . but the defendant admitted that ‘Joe Avery’ is ‘J. Avery.’ Sir, this is not true. It is like a man Avith a crooked square trying to prove his work true. Can this untrue statement be removed, or must it remain? It is wrong evidence, for I neither said nor admitted any such thing.—-I am, etc., J. GOLDER.
(To the Editor.) , Sir, —-Would! it be possible for the Hospital Board to appoint a nurse for this district. If this were done it Avould relieve the doctor, who has a large district to cover, and Avould save the expense of patients being sent to hospital for treatment. I understand nurses are appointed in ether parts of the district. —Yours faithfully, INTERESTED. [THE Hospital Board would appoint a district nurse, and provide drugs, dressings, etc., provided the district guaranteed £IOO per annum. A nurse has been appointed at Mangahao and Feilding. We would suggest that our correspondent confer with the Plunket Society or other body to ascertain public opinion on the subject. —Ed. H.]
