END OF SESSION

PROBABLY NEXT MONDAY. Wellington, Last Night.

It is probable that the Session will end next Monday night, or Tuesday morning. Mr Massey said in the House to-day that- it was necessary he should get away next Tuesday. He proposed to leave Wellington next Saturday for Auckland, returning on Monday afternoon. Respecting the Electoral Bill, Mr Massey said! both his party and the Cabinet were divided about two important clauses. He did not think it would be possible to pass the Bill this Session. “When you find the members of such a party as this divided,” he said, “you can imagine what sort of reception it would get in the House.” The Bill would be circulated and next Session he proposed to take it up.
