ANZAC GRAVES.

SIR JAMES ALLEN’S VISIT. 32 MONUMENTS TO BE ERECTED. London, August 12. The “Times” Constantinople correspondent reports that Sir James Allen- spent two days on Gallipoli and visited almost all the cemeteries. He is well satisfied with the work done. Of the 32 monuments fourteen are completed as far as the local masonry is concerned, and the othei's arc half finished, with the exception of the vast Imperial memorial at Cape Hellos, which is expected to be ready by Anzac Day, 1924.

It is hoped that the big New Zealand plinth at Chunik Bair will he completed in eight weeks. The designs generally are considered worthy as memorials of a great feat of arms.
