BTG FOX PROGRAMME.
“Calvert’s Valley,” a fine mystery story and the Clyde Cook comedy special: “The Huntsman,” are the headlines in a specially fine Fox programme scheduled for screening at the Town Hall on Saturday night. “Calvert’s Valley,” in which the leading roles are played by John Gilbert and Sylvia Breamer, is a story in which mystery, love and adventure are blended whilst action is being carried on to the triumph of a strong man’s soul. The comedy: “The Huntsman,” signalises the return to the Town Hall screen of Clyde Cook, well remembered for his screaming efforts: “The Sailor ’ and “The Toreador.” Altogether Saturday’s programme promises to be one of the most entertaining yet screened at the Town Hall. Advance notice is given of the coming to Foxton of Dumas’ classic drama “Monte Cristo.”
ROYAL PICTURES. In “The Ruling Passion,” released by United Artists, George Arliss at the Royal Theatre to-morrow night pietnrises a multi-millionaire automobile manufacturer who lias worked himself to the verge of a nervous breakdown and is ordered by his physician to retire to his country estate and seek relaxation. Then see what happens. This picture will grip you like no other picture. Doris Kenyon gives a charming portrayal of the daughter of the millionaire.
Hobart Bosworth on the back of a whale is one of the startling scenes in his fine sea romance entitled “The Sea Lion” to he screened at the Royal on Saturday night. A sea picture of thrills. Also an excellent supporting programme.
