CHILD DROWNED. Wanganui, Last Night. Robert Lambert, aged six years, who was playing on a bank with two other children, fell into the Wanganui River this afternoon, and was drowned. FATAL STREET COLLISION. Timaru, Last Night. As the result of the collision of a bicycle and motor lorry, Daniel Munday, aged 19 years, a cycle mechanic, of Hadlow, died in hospital this afternoon. THE WRONG BOTTLE. Wellington, Last Night. At the inquest on Michael O’Reilly, who died as a result of taking poison the police gave evidence that O’Reilly said he had taken spirits of salt in mistake for whisky. A verdict was returned accordingly.
