BOWLING

Very good work, has been corned out on the local green during the past few months by enthusiasts who are prepared to sacrifice their time in the interests of the Club’s welfare, but a fair amount of work still remains to be done before the opening of the green for the coming season. Last week an energetic “working bee" completed the excavation of the bank in preparation for tbe extension of the croquet courts, and to-morrow a “bee will be held for the purpose of furthering this work. All members able to attend are requested to do so. A meeting of Committee decided to purchase a concrete roller to replace the iron one at present in use, which will no doubt make for a marked improvement in the condition of the green next season.
