RUGBY UNION AFFAIRS

REP. PLAYER TO EXPLAIN

The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Horowhentia Rugby Union was held on Tuesday evening, Mr J. Procter being in the chair. Also present: Messrs Sciaseia, McMillan, Casey, Austin, Hutchings, Grimstone, and the secretary, Mr L. S. Carmichael. The following mat ions were carried: —

Proposed by Mr Hutchings, seconded by Mr Austin, that the Weraroa v. Eoxton IV Grade game he awarded to Foxton, and Bull and Ryder he given a severe warning, such to stand against them should they again appear before the Union. The two men mentioned played fourth grade after being classified as third grade players. Proposed by Mr Procter, seconded by Mr Sciaseia, that Te Kawau sub-union be notified that this Union cannot see its way clear to play them this season. Proposed by Mr Procter, seconded by Mr McMillan, that Fry, of Tokomaru, he paid insurance amminting to £2. Proposed by Mr Sciaseia, seconded by Mr Hutchings, that H. Jacob he requested to appear before the Union to state why he did not make the trip to Wellington and also failed to notify the Union that he did not intend to travel.

Accounts amounting to £1 10s were passed for payment.
