NOXIOUS WEEDS.

SUGGESTION BY MR. NEWMAN. Wellington, July 31. In the Legislative Council Sir Francis Bell moved the second reading of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Bill. The Hon. E. Newman suggested that the Government should establish noxious weeds control boards and should offer a reward for a weed exterminator which would not kill stock. He also advocated the establishment of a commission to enquire into the whole question. The second reading of the Bill was agreed to.
