BOWLING

During the closed season a considerable amount of maintenance work lias been carried out on the local green by a number of willing workers in the way of top-dressing the green, excavating for the improvement of the croquet court, and dismantling and removing the windmill and stand. There still remains the croquet courts to he top-dressed and it is the intention that this work should he commenced to-morrow afternoon. To this end the president is arranging a “working bee,” and it is expected that a good number of helpers will he present. Afternoon tea will be provided by the ladies.

A meeting of Committee will he held in the pavilion at the conclusion of the afternoon’s work.
