MANAWATU HUNT CLUB
POINT TO POINT STEEPLECHASES.
1 At u meeting of the committee of the Maiiawatu Hunt at Palmerston North, on Saturday evening, over which the president, Mr S. R. Lancaster presided, it was decided to hold three point-to-point steeplechases at Eoxton on August 29th. 'i hese will comprise:— Point-to-point heavy weights, three miles, minimum weight 12st.; three trophies. Point-to-point light weights, two and a-half miles, minimum weight list,; three trophies. Point-to-point, owners up, two miles, minimum weight list.; three trophies. The events will be held on the property of Messrs Robinson Bros. Lady’s Mile, kindly lent for the purpose. The licensed victuallers of Foxton have donated £lO and £5 trophies for the first event, and the president and master, Messrs S. R. Lancaster and L. H. Goilinson, have donated trophies of £5. Other trophies will be forthcoming.
