ONGARUE TRAIN SMASH

Taumarunui, Tuesday.

The coronial enquiry concerning the deaths of the victims of the Ongarue railway smash was continued this afternoon. Evidence was given by Drs. Fisher and Howard, as to attending to the injured and on the point of professional procedure. ' The coroner said that so far his verdict would be that the cause of death of those killed in the smash was accidental. He preferred to reserve any remarks upon the matter until he had had an opportunity of reviewing the evidence. He con sidered no ordinary foresight could have averted the accident.
