POLICE COURT.
Owing to indisposition, Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., was unable to preside at the monthly sitting of the S.M. Court yesterday. The sitting was presided over by Messrs Alf. Fraser and Perreau, J.’sP. WANDERING STOCK. W". Walker, S. Eagle, F. Procter, J. Leacli, A. Walsh, Fred. Robinson and W. Woodhnm were each fined 5/- and costs for allowing stock to wander on the streets. W. T. McDonald, similarly charged, was fined £3 and £1 8s costs and R. Bryant.£2 and 7/- costs. The case agaiiist S. J. Hoyden' was dismissed. 1 ~~ CIVIL CASES. Manawatu Herald (Mr Bergin) v. F, D. VVhibley, claim £l7 0s 9d, costs £2_l4s; J. Crowther v. W. Dalziell, claim £l9 15s, costs £3 9s; D. W. Robertson and Co. v. J. Ireland, claim £1 19s 7d, costs 13/-.
