DOMINION’S FINANCIAL POSITION. The Prime Minister stated in the House of Representatives on Tuesday that on the'-iast quarter’s figures the country was £433,000 to the good. Up to the end of June the exports for the year had amounted to £47,000,000, which was a record. This country absolutely depended on its exports. During the time the Government had been in office the exports had doubled. They amounted to ' £23,000,000 annually when the Government came in. The Prime Minister reminded the House of the recent very satisfactory bank returns, which showed what a fine recovery the Dominion was making from bad times. He was also glad to say that Post Office Savings Bank deposits were now substantially in excess of withdrawals.
